As a supporter of Sister Jerome’s Mission, we thought you might like to know what we’ve been doing since Sister Jerome retired.
First and foremost, Sister Jerome’s Mission is continuing to serve those most in need. We provide assistance to poor families in crisis helping as best we can with whatever emergency needs they have – everything from baby formula to car repairs. And, through Sister Jerome’s Mission College program, we’re helping promising college students over-come the challenges unique to underprivileged, first-generation students so they make it through to graduation and are well-prepared for jobs that will enable them to support themselves and their families.
In the photo atop this post you see the new YSU graduates being congratulated by university President Jim Tressel, his wife, Ellen (far right), and in the middle, Maraline Kubik, director of Sister Jerome’s Mission.
